Dogs In Service Project
Was made to help people with a Psychiatric Problems to figure out which Assistance Animal is best for their life style.
I always had a loved for animals and wanted to work with one.
Just didn't know how to come about it until the need came from a Drunk Driver hit me back in 1999.
This took my family to a point where we started to ask questions to people we meet out in public about their Assistance Animal.
They told us that a Service Dog would be the type I needed.
I have PTSD so I needed to find one that helps train
Psychiatric Service Dogs.
We also didn't want to wait on a training list when we had a dog that showed signs it could help me with some more training.
So it took sometime and we found a trainer to help us.
Now that I started the training and seen how well I was being helped by my dog I talked things out with my family and we thought it be best if I get the word out to others that might be gone thought simpler things and need one them-self so I came up with the idea to name it after 3 of the dogs that helped me out through out my life time: Daisy, Shadow, Isabella.
So by playing with their names I came up with DIS Project which is short for Dogs In Service Project.
Working with MLDD to train mine own Service Dog.
